Liberal Campaign Bus
Update: Seems I wasn’t the only person to notice this, from the Canberra Times:
Did someone say “dirty election campaign”? The Australian Electoral Commission confirmed yesterday it had received a complaint about a truck spotted around Canberra this week displaying what purports to be a Liberal Party campaign ad. The handmade sign reads, “Bleed the People More/Vote 1 Liberal Coalition”. ACT Liberal senator Gary Humphries said the ad did not include a notice stating who had authorised and printed the ad as required by section 328 of the Commonwealth Electoral Act.Humphries said the ACT division of the Liberal Party had complained to the Electoral Commission bus he was more concerned about the “attitude behind” the ad. “Election campaigns in the ACT have always been fought on policies and issues, not mudslinging and dirty tricks, and I would be very disappointed to see that change this year,” he said. The Electoral Commission said the penalty fro the alleged breach was a $1000 fine for an individual or a $5000 fine for a body corporate.”
As if I needed more reasons not to vote for Gary “nice guy but ..” Humphries.
Looks like the election must be close, the Liberals have launched their travelling campaign:

As seen on Northbourne Avenue.
